Design thinking

Designing a bead jewellery collection — from single piece to range

A range that reads as one voice — collections are designed, not accumulated.

A single good necklace is luck. A collection is a system — and systems are learnable.

Start with the anchor

Design the piece you would photograph for the poster. Get it right first; every other piece inherits its decisions.

The variant ladder

The discipline of restraint

Collections fail by addition (three palettes, four techniques). The fix is a written constraint: ONE colour story, ONE stitch or assembly family, ONE material signature. Constraints are what make a range read as a voice.

Build for the buyer's ladder

Small piece to mid piece to hero — a customer should enter the collection at any budget and stay inside your world. Pricing frameworks live on the fashion site.

Collections are a taught skill — the Fashion Jewellery ladder builds one as coursework, and the process guide shows the five stages behind it.
